Accessibility for Annie Bloom's Bookstore

  • The store entrance has double doors and a small raised wooden threshold bump which staff says has not prevented scooters, wheelchairs, or strollers from entering. The doors aren't powered, but can be propped open; please ask staff if needed.
  • Most of the aisles, including the ones leading to the event area at the center of the store, are wide enough for wheelchairs, scooters, and strollers. Please let staff know at the counter if chairs need to be moved in the seating area to make space for any mobility devices.
  • Seating is first-come first-serve; chairs will typically be set up about half an hour before the reading start time.
  • The store does not have public restrooms.
  • Transit service is available from TriMet; there are nearby stops for the #44 and #45 buses. Check [TriMet.org](https://trimet.org/) for schedules and details.
  • The neighborhood has limited dedicated accessible parking spots, though most of the corner crossings/curbs have ramps. The store does not have a designated parking lot; street parking is available through the neighborhood and paid parking is available at the Multnomah Arts Center a few blocks away.
