Ah, to be amongst the blooms on Clinton Avenue, a fine example of Portland’s bicycle highway!
I don't know about you, but I get restless and overstimulated in bars and indoor event venues. Let’s instead take our conversation for a walk outdoors.
Amble & Ramble builds authentic connection by pairing strangers for a light, playful walking conversation up and down Clinton Street.
We’ll begin with an introduction followed by forming conversation pairs. You will receive an optional discussion prompt that invites authenticity. Then we stroll for about 15 minutes to Cesar Chavez, make our return, and begin the process again. We’ll do about four to five circuits.
If our crowd is larger, we will break into smaller conversation circles so you have opportunities to meet more new companions.
Folks are encouraged to hang out afterward at the nearby Dots Cafe on Clinton Street.
This event is intended to be pleasant, engaging, easeful, and meaningful. We all endure some loneliness in this culture and it’s important to me to alleviate that for an afternoon when I can! I wish for my guests to feel seen, heard, and understood .
