For our January 2025 Classical selection, let's read for discussion Book 5 of John Milton's Paradise Lost. Standing topics may include favored passages from the current reading, reactionon from the poet’s choices, the impact of the building narrative or how, perhaps, the style of the poem may be influencing your own practice.
The book is in the public domain, and many of us may have an edition already shelved. As such, any edition is welcome for discussion. One option to acquire will be an edition edited by Merritt Y. Hughes, known colloquially as "the pink cover," which is well-regarded and readily available.
