With 1 to 2 ft of snow promised for the next few days and cooler temps, I would like to repeat this back country tour that features old grown trees and steep downhill runs. This trek goes up Newton ridge and yo-yo up and down the backside to Newton Creek. The trek offers a potential in untrammeled routes and tree lined drainages. 1700 ft elevation gain, Some chance of avalanche so bring your avy probe and beacon. Good trip for all types of equipment: Tele, AT and Split.

Weather: snowy and windy

If we get 3 to 4 people signed up, will be a go!
