Monthly Backgammon Tournament

Return to our Fall Tournament Series! Through the end of the year, tournaments will be on the first Sunday of the month (to avoid conflicts with holidays) except for September (to avoid conflicts with holidays).

Join us at Lucky Labs for a fun, fast paced tournament. We will be having three point matches and a double elimination bracket structure, so everyone is guaranteed a minimum of two matches. After two losses, you are out, but welcome to hang around and play some pick-up games!

Your $10 entry fee goes predominantly to prize money, with payouts for 1st, 2nd, and 1st in the consolation bracket (ties for 2nd). I do take a rake off each bracket to cover the costs of running the club.

In addition to the $10 entry, there are two (2!) optional side pools of $20 each. So if you feel like putting more on the line, we got you covered - side pool entries will be put into the same higher equity bracket to the extent possible. We are usually able to fill a full bracket, and I usually let that bracket run 5 point matches instead of 3.

Attend as many tournaments as you can and win as many matches as you can to be in the running for the much coveted "Player of the Year" award! Tournament wins all year long count towards your 2023 placement!

This is the biggest event we have monthly, and so a great way to meet a lot of other backgammon players - hope to see you there!
