- Description: Sauvie Island adventure! Look for waterfowl, raptors and cranes under the cover of a raised observation deck with local author of "Backyard Birds West" Seymore Gulls.
- Logistics - Meet at the park-and-ride at the bridge & carpool over to the covered observation deck on Reeder rd. Year passes are no longer available at the store on the island, nor is there a gas station on the island. Year passes not required for park-and-ride location but are required for our birding destinations.
- Who's invited?: All Humans of all ages, backgrounds & birding abilities! If you have ever noticed a bird before in your whole life you are ready to come and look at more great birds with our fun/nice/inclusive group!
- Dress code: Wear layers, Its probably going to rain and its going to be cold. We are going to stand around a lot.
- Optics - I have a bunch of fancy binoculars to loan out. You don't have to bring anything, or you can try something new, just let me know if you want to borrow some.
- **Walking and trail conditions - Flat/easy/short -**wheelchair accessible ramp up to observation deck
- Distance to be walked: almost none
- Additional important information portapotty at stop
- Cost: Pay what you can/want. I don't want money to be a barrier to birding, but I also don't want to get a real job. Recommended tip range: large coffee to small pizza.
