The best stories hold up under a variety of different lenses. I think "The Yellow Wallpaper," first published in 1892, remains one of the most famous short stories of the era for that reason. It's an early example of psychological horror, but it's also a feminist critique of patriarchal control. Either avenue is a valid path into the story and ripe fruit for the plucking. Dig in.
Hope to see you there!
