##### Can a lone cop solve a mystery if no one takes him seriously? Enjoy a night at the theater at Portland Stage in downtown Portland, one of Maine’s largest fully professional, non-profit theaters. "Dirty Deeds Downeast" is mystery-comedy written by local Maine playwright Brent Askari!
The show begins at 7:30pm, Plan to meet in the upper lobby at the top of the stairs between 7:00-7:15pm. During intermission you can purchase drinks, coffee, and locally-baked treats. After the show everyone is welcome to Another Round (a short walk from the theater) to discuss the play over coffee or cocktails.

Mainers tend to take care of their own business, much to the chagrin of Gerard, the only cop on the island. When he finds evidence of foul play surrounding a recent death, things go hilariously amok and Gerard finds there’s something sinister hiding behind the cozy vacation town he grew up in. Join us for this side-splitting comedy about murder and mayhem in Maine!
Dirty Deeds Downeast is a fast and loose comedy about those who take care of their own at the edge of society. Part Hot Fuzz and part Murder She Wrote Askari’s play examines the not-so-nice side of quaint island life. The show is approximately 2 hours, including 1 intermission.
