Cliffs Trail - Harpswell
Details
2026 begins in Harpswell! This is another great hike, 2-3 miles. You will most likely need spikes, etc.
Lunch to follow for anyone interested at Social Goose in Brunswick.
If there is bad or really cold weather: we will reschedule to Sunday.

Please read Meetup rules, liability waiver and here are the additional guidelines for John and Chris as hosts:
No Dogs. I have 1 myself and love dogs but not everyone does and we are asking you leave them at home for our hikes.
Please take a picture of the trail map that are posted at all trailheads in case you wander off trail. You are responsible for getting YOU out of the woods. We will not circle back to look for you if you don’t communicate that you’re stepping out of the group.
You are joining a free group to hike with people who like hiking. This is not a guided, paid-for hike. Whether or not you have fun, are comfortable with the gear you wear, or dont get lost is 100% NOT our responsibility.
Dress appropriately for weather and conditions. You might live in Portland but there could be ice where we are hiking and that shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone. If you don’t have the appropriate gear and get cold, or stuck because you forgot microspikes, etc. you’ll need to find your way back to your car (see #2).
Sign up for the hike that matches your ability. We hike fast-ish over different terrain including narrow trails, paths that are rocky and full of stumps, etc. Tripping and falling is easy in the woods and a real concern so if your balance is unsteady, you should have hiking poles.
Same rule as previous years. I have a no-show, no-go policy. You can bail up to 10 minutes before the hike starts. If you straight-up don’t show i’ll boot you from our hikes for the remainder of the season.
