Peony and wildflower hike. (Photos from 2021 hike)
The Peonies should be in full bloom by this weekend. I will tentatively schedule this one for the 14th. The flowers should at their peak so there is an opportunity to visit on the weekend. This will be a casual hike and a great opportunity for photos.
There is great bird watching out here as there are several habitat types. Download the 'Merlin' app for bird call identification.
Bring some snacks or lunch.
The trails are mostly wide and in the open with some wooded sections. It's a nice two mile loop.
NOTE: The Audubon Center is a nature preserve. They do not allow any dogs, either on or off leash. Thank you for understanding.
Bring a lunch and we will snack on picnic tables near the bird feeders. There is always a colorful show going on there. Feel free to drop a dollar or two into the donation box. The Visitor Center should be open.
