Hermit Island Loop Trail (Phippsburg, Me.) (Sat 10/31 w/ rain date Sun Nov.1)

Join us for this quick, steady-paced hike on beautiful Hermit Island. Highlights include stunning coastal views and scenic trails.This trail is very steep in several areas without railings and has uneven and unstable surfaces. The trail passes through the woods and to some secluded coves.

Trail Overview & Stats

• Length: 3.9 miles (loop)
• Elevation Gain: 278 feet
• Average Time: 1.5 to 2 hours
• Difficulty: Moderate (features steep sections without guardrails, paths are uneven terrain, and narrow cliffside passes) NO DOGS!
• Bring Good hiking shoes, layered clothing, sunscreen, lunch and plenty of water.
• We will stop halfway for lunch on a rocky overlook of the ocean.
• Please find the hike that meets your ability, do not sign up for this trip if you are not able to keep up at a good pace- this is not a stroll.
