Casual Smash at Retro Game Bar!

Come out and get your Smash on! Come play Smash Bros Ultimate with chill and fun people. There is usually a pretty good showing and lots of chances to game. Everyone is welcome.

IMPORTANT STUFF! Retro Game Bar will charge their normal gaming fee ($7) and require that you make a purchase. (Pls remember to tip!) Retro Game Bar loves having us, and we love them, and this is what it takes to make hosting our little group sustainable for them. (We’re welcome to stay past 9pm as well they’re open til 12 am)

Retro Game Bar is a nerdy, cozy, gaming-themed bar/restaurant in the Woodlawn neighborhood of Northeast Portland. They've got screens and couches, food and drinks, and they're happy to host our group. A truly phenomenal venue!

Set up situation: “We have 3 switch setups. One is on our big 82 inch screen and one is in the private event space, the other is on a 42” screen. Those are all fair game. There’s one other spot that a switch can be hooked up too.” Please bring controllers with you and if you have a switch, dock, extra screens or controllers feel free to bring as well — the more the merrier!

Although the meetup itself is free, our hosts, Retro Game Bar, are a small, one-of-a-kind local business with their own rules. In particular, they have a $7 gaming fee for everyone who comes in to play games. It's also important that you show your support by buying some food or drinks, tipping, following their rules, and generally being a good patron.
