Swan Island Dahlia Festival and Molalla River Walk

DESCRIPTION: Let's meet for the Annual Swan Island Dahlia Festival, trek to the Molalla River, then round trip back to the festival for whatever length of time you have that day. We had such a great time last year, and I can't wait to see you again! The last day of the festival is 9/30. Stroll through 40-acre stunning display of color in more than 370 varieties. Event admission and parking are free, which includes live music from noon - 4 PM. Food carts, gift shop. Live music is on weekends only.

NOTE: Please update your RSVP from "going" to "not going" if your plans have changed. The plan is to head out on the walk at 10 on the dot.

DISTANCE: About 5-6 miles roundtrip to the river + strolling the farm

PARKING: Parking Lot (free)

MEET AT: Swan Island Dahlia Farm, 995 NW 22nd Avenue, Canby, OR. This is a busy event. After you park, walk over to the gift shop and meet the group in front, near the vintage truck brimming with fresh flowers.

GET THERE: Optional to take the Canby Ferry

TIME: 10 AM.

FITNESS LEVEL: Expect a moderate pace for this flat walk.

ATTIRE: Water, sunscreen, your adventurous spirit. Temperature expected to be a bit cooler, around 77 degrees.

GUESTS: Yes, guests are welcome, please register them by name when you sign up. Leashed dogs are welcome (except the gift shop and classes); keep in mind this is a very busy event.

AFTER WALK REPAST OPTION: Hang out at the Dahlia farm with friends, food carts, live music and terrific photography opportunity.
