Wilderness Park | Camassia Nature Preserve | West Linn

DESCRIPTION: Let's welcome the peak wildflower bloom, with over 300 plant species, including an osprey nest and a view of Mt. Hood along the trails and meadows of this reserve and park.
DISTANCE: About 5 miles.
PARKING: Sunset Primary School
MEET AT: Parking lot to the left of Sunset Primary School. We're going to connect with an access point toward the back of the grassy field near the parking lot. FYI: The adjacent toddler park has restrooms.
LAUNCH TIME: 1:00 PM
FITNESS LEVEL: Expect a moderate pace for this walk consisting mostly of natural rolling up and down trails, and one evil (or at least memorable) set of stairs along the trail.
ATTIRE: Rain or shine, bring layers and your adventurous spirit.
GUESTS: Yes, guests are welcome! Because a protected preserve, canine friends not this time. Please note your guest's name when you register.
NOTE: Careful to stay on trails; there's an off trail poison ivy warning.
AFTER WALK REPAST / COFFEE OPTION: Market of Choice in nearby West Linn has all the goods, with seating and restrooms.
