The Haunted Tunnels of Lake Oswego
Details
Welcome to the Tunnels of Lake Oswego
Some people get their thrills jumping out of airplanes. We are doing something far braver: walking into the dark tunnels of Mountain Park and trusting suburban Oregon to behave itself.
Yes, there are “monsters” down in those tunnels, but this is Lake Oswego, so the monsters are mostly the wealthy-suburb variety:
- A zombie labradoodle with a therapist and an opinion about your hydration strategy.
- A yoga mom ghost who only haunts at 6:12 a.m. while smelling faintly of eucalyptus.
- A warlock realtor whispering “property values” into the darkness.
In other words, the danger level is “mildly dramatic,” not “final boss.”
This is a two-hour meander with ups and downs through neighborhoods and foliage, with the tunnels as the star attraction. We’ll emerge back into daylight feeling like heroes who stared into suburban darkness and lived to tell the tale.
Halfway through we’ll stop for coffee and a bathroom break so everyone can restore courage, caffeine, and basic functionality.
