Running Effective Postmortems
Postmortems can be one of the most expensive meetings that businesses undertake. How can we make them as effective as possible? For the past two years, Alixe has reworked the postmortem process at Lucid Software to substantially improve the process and the quality of action items. We will discuss what she's learned and how you can apply these learnings to your organization.
Bio:
Alixe Langshall is a Senior Systems Engineer at Lucid Software where she works on containerizing legacy microservices. When not doing that, she leads postmortem facilitation, is a part of the on call rotation, and leads the LGBTQ+ DEI subcommittee. Her career focus is making internal systems and processes more humane while trying to mentor and elevate coworkers moving from non traditional backgrounds into specialized tech roles. Outside of Lucid she is part of the leadership team for PNW CoffeeOps, works on her small deck garden, and lives with her spouse, kiddo, and two cats.
