The City of Bend started its data journey more than 6 years ago when it created the Data and Analytics program. With just 4 dedicated individuals, the City embarked on a mission to empower decision-makers with accurate information. Over the years, the small program has morphed into the Office of Performance Management with four divisions and 18 full-time employees. Note: The City of Bend currently has just under 800 employees. The Reporting and Database division Ray manages has three people including him, so the scale is hundreds of reports and users across the City.
