Are you pursuing the radical path of financial independence and early retirement (FIRE)? This is a big tent party - spanning SlowFI to FatFI and all iterations in between. Let's get together to discuss our philosophy of money and LIVING LIFE. Whether you're already financially independent, on your way, or curious about how to get started, we'd love to have you.

Our main rules are

> 1. be nice and encourage genuine conversation,
> 2. don't lecture or take up too much space,
> 3. have empathy and sensitivity for our different stations and/or journey.

Friday daytime hangout
The Heist Food Carts, 4727 SE Woodstock, PDX, OR, US
We’re trying a new Portland FIRE Meetup concept: the Friday daytime hangout. Whether you’re already retired or just have a flexible schedule, come join us for socializing and enjoyment of the FI life. There are food carts, coffee, and a bar on-site. We’ll be at an indoor table with a Meetup sign so you can find us.

This event will be unstructured socializing amongst FIRE-minded people. So there won't be formal meeting facilitation or a limitation to FIRE-y topics. Though feel free to bring your questions! If we need a question to get conversation started, I recently listened to the ChooseFI podcast episode 541, a conversation on aging with Vicki Robin. It made me curious if anyone has an “unlived” part of yourself that you’re looking forward to living in the future. Or maybe just an unlived life that you vaguely daydream about!
