Frugal FIRE Hackathon

Details
We don't spend a ton of time exploring the frugal aspects of FIRE. I admit I make jokes at frugality's expense (pun intended) because I fancy myself as an aspiring Fat FIRE adherent. All I need is the FAT part and I'm set!
That said, frugality is something that archaeologists may agree is chiseled into the founding principles of FIRE's commandments. Rooted in the teachings of Vicki Robin or Pete Adeney; frugality is about conscious spending and saving. It rejects consumerism and belabors spending money on unnecessary things or experiences as a legitimate hurdle to FI.
This Meetup idea spun out of a recommendation from regulars that posed the following:
What if we used our time to share all of the frugality hacks we know, and had someone write down a list of everything that was said, and then share everything in a Google Doc (or similar) after the meeting?
I love that idea!
They shared the example of an app that helps users to save money on restaurant food just by adapting where and when they eat. Other members have shared house hacking strategies, grocery shopping tactics, places to buy affordable tech, etc etc etc. Bring your ideas and share away and our volunteer scribe Patrice will write them all down and share later!
Agenda
