Retirement Party Picnic

Mark your calendars! Please join the Portland Financial Independence Retire Early Meetup this summer for a Sunday lunch picnic. We'll meet at Sellwood Park to celebrate everyone who has retired and everyone who hopes to retire someday. Kids, pets, and friends are welcome.

Bring: your own camp chairs or picnic blankets, and your own lunch. It’s ok to bring pot luck food you want to share with others, but it’s not expected. Feel free to bring other things you enjoy at picnics: lawn games, cards, face paint, frisbees, etc. Since we won’t have a permit, please no alcohol, tents/tables, portable BBQs, or speakers.

Where: We’ll gather in the lawn area directly behind the playground (with the playground between us and 7th Ave). The playground is on SE 7th Ave, near the intersection with SE Lexington St. To find us, look for the multicolored picnic blanket shown in the cover photo for this event. There is street parking in the neighborhood and you can walk into the park on either side of the fenced playground.

It's ok to show up and leave anytime within the event window.
