PAINT IT & FRAME IT IN A DAY!

The instructors are offering their instruction free of charge. They will supply the art supplies and the frames, so there will be a $25 materials fee, payable on our website.
Ready to make your artwork literally jump off the page? Sallie and Linda are excited to share this fun and creative project with you in this hands-on workshop where you'll transform a painting into a framed, 3D piece of art! And we’ll provide all the materials, including the frame, all for a $25 materials fee! We'll be working in gouache, a paint similar to watercolor, but known for its opacity. Don't worry about drawing – we'll have beautiful designs of the natural world (shells, starfish, dragonflies, etc.) ready for you, so you can dive right into the fun of painting. The instructors will demo the basics of using gouache. You will learn how to sculpt your piece, assemble it in a deep frame for a 3-dimensional effect, then you’ll be shown how to add the framing components to wire to your frame. By the end of class, you will have a beautiful one-of-a-kind piece ready to hang!
