Take time out of your busy life at the holidays to sit quietly and to paint peacefully. In this workshop you will create special artwork that can become wonderful gifts! Over the holidays it’s really fun to also use these pieces that are painted on rice paper to wrap gifts. We will start with painting warmups and technical practice for specific brushwork. We’ll use unique papers to try with Sumi-e inks and gouache paints.

All materials are provided by the instructor. If you have Sumi-e materials you are welcome to bring your own as well, and you’ll have a chance to develop your Sumi-e practice with the change of seasons.
Beginners are always welcome.
