Weed Warriors: Elder Garden Cleanup

Volunteer with us! Get some exercise, build community, and help an elder in need.

We’ll meet out front before our 1pm shift, say hi and hang out for a few minutes, and then dive in to help with a variety of yard tasks, including weeding, spreading compost, and planting. This event is coordinated by a wonderful local non-profit, Equitable Giving Circle, and it is part of their ongoing Elder Garden Project. The home has a large yard and an established garden, 29 year years in the making, that we’ll be working on.

They recommend wearing long pants, comfortable closed-toe shoes, and a hat. I’d also recommend bringing a water and gardening gloves, if you have them. Be prepared to do manual labor and get dirty, in a chill PJC-manner. ;) Cannabis friendly.
