Shakespeare in the Park @ Deering Oaks Park
Details
Fenix Theatre Company is performing Henry IV (part one), directed by Peter Brown. Meet us at the bandstand at 6pm to find a place to sit and hang out before the performance starts at 6:30pm. This event is free or donate-what-you-will (suggested $25/person). Ticket are not required and space is first-come-first-serve but they recommend signing up here so they can email you directly in case of cancellation due to weather.
Bring your own folding beach chair (i.e. preferably a low chair so it doesn't block others' view) or blanket. Feel free to pack a picnic. This event is kid friendly. Check out their FAQ here for more info on accessibility, bathrooms, parking, etc.
This event is outdoors and weather permitting, and I'll reschedule to Saturday 7/18 if this date gets rained out.
Getting there: Henry IV Part 1 performs on the bandstand in Deering Oaks Park, right off the parking paths before the State Street exit. It's the same location as Comedy of Errors (2021) and Shakespeare Abridged (2023). There is parking along the paths in Deering Oaks Park when you enter from Deering Avenue. You can also try parking on State Street, Park Ave, or Deering Ave.
Stay home if you’re feeling sick or exposed to someone sick.
