Intro To Whitewater on the Lower Clackamas & Pot Luck Dinner

Come join us on the Lower Clackamas! bring your own boat and gear, or learn some whitewater basics on an inflatable or sit on top kayak!

This is a chance to get out on the water and paddle a fairly mild stretch of river. Then join us for a pot luck at the park after!

Kayaking:

We'll meet at the boat launch at McIver Park. We'll offer boat rentals through Clackamas River Outfitters. We'll also give some basic instructions on the water.

We'll launch from Riverside Boat Launch in Milo Mciver. This is a great section to learn the basics of whitewater. It is more challenging than the Barton to Carver run you may have floated. Not great for innertubes.

Clackamas River Outfitters will have IK rentals and gear for us for $65.

Dinner: We'll also be camping and hanging out at McIver in the evening. Pot luck dinner. Please bring something veg or vegan if you can.

You can choose to come for either the river portion or the dinner. Please comment in the thread what you'll be doing if you sign up.
