What we’re about
Welcome to the Portland Photography Meetup Group! I created this group mostly for beginning photographers who want to learn some photography, and have fun taking pictures of our beautiful city. Just moving back from Hawaii, let's face it winters are long, and I'd love to explore my passion for photography with other people who also enjoy it, and maybe make some friends along the way. I'm not a professional photographer, but have taken several hundred thousand images over the past 15 years- landscapes, night skies and portraits. I'm most familiar with Nikon, but have used Canon and Sony too. If you bring your camera along I feel confident we can get you taking better pictures right away. Come along for a fun photowalk through the streets, parks and waterfront of Portland, and we may even end up for a coffee or a beer at the end.
