In this meeting of the Portland Physics Society, we will address a very juicy question: What is Gravity?

What most people understand is that gravity is a force that all masses exert on each other. More savvy folks, however, will tell you that gravity is NOT a force at all, and it's not just mass that causes it!

Together, we might not derive the Einstein Field Equations of General Relativity, but we can have a spirited discussion of the mysteries that still plague physicists to this day:
- Are there gravitons? What would it mean if there were?
- What is dark matter? Why do some believe it exists?
- What is dark energy? What does it have to do with gravity?
- Why does mass-energy actually curve spacetime?
- Is spacetime fundamental? Or does it emerge from something else?

Come out, have a drink, and learn something new!
