Portland Pick and Play Music Group

Welcome to Portland Pick and Play Music Group! Whether you're a seasoned musician or someone just starting out, this group is for anyone with an interest in discussing and playing music.
Here’s how it works:
–We will pick a type /genre / time period of music during every Meetup (e.g. 1960’s, 1970’s, grunge, hip hop, etc.)
–We will discuss this genre of music and choose a song from it to learn for the upcoming Meetup session
–Members will sign up to play their version of that song (most likely an acoustic version depending on our location

The format will go something like this:
7pm-7:15pm: Social Time
7:15pm-7:45pm: Members discuss why they chose the song they did
7:45-8:45pm: Each member plays the song they picked for the group (will have to be acoustic for now)
8:45-9:30pm: Optional performance feedback from Group members
