What we’re about
Portland Polyamory is a social group for people interested in ethical non-monogamy. Our meetups are casual, meet and greet drop in style hangouts. If you just want to see if there are other non-monogamous people out there, you've found some of them! Questions are welcome. Learn more about it, hear other people's stories about the good times, and the not-so-good.
Our meetups are child free, and open to adults 18+. The whole spectrum of sexuality and gender identity is welcome - queer, straight, bi, gay, lesbian, pansexual, asexual, cisgender, genderqueer, gender fluid, transgender, IS, and anyone else we may have left out (let us know if we did!) ...
When you join the group please be prepared to answer the following questions on your profile page. This page is only viewable to members of this group;
Introduction (No longer required, but encouraged!)
How would you define the type of relationship model that you seek?
Are you currently in this type of relationship?
What do you hope to get out of the group? Have you ever participated in a group like this one?
Have you done any reading in this area? Any strong favorites?
What are some questions you would like this group to discuss?
Profiles that are not filled out will not be admitted to the group.
A photo is not necessary but if you are comfortable using one, that is great!
If you are new to polyamory and have general questions remember that we value the wisdom and involvement of our members of all ages and varying levels of experience, but at least try to do a bit of reading first.

Disclaimer section: Please be respectful of other members, this group is not about finding other people to date, but about just being polyamorous / ethically non-monogamous in a community of other people who are accepting, or at least curious, about the same. It is not acceptable to solicit other people to join your poly-cule (in person or electronically). This is not a dating group. We are more than happy for friendships to spring up and for people who do discover connections in a healthy, respectful way and mutually choose to build on that (hey, life happens! and more love is a wonderful thing :). There are plenty of dating sites out there, there are even other meetup groups about the same, if that is your need. Our meetup group is about building community and understanding, and supporting other non-monogamous people as they live their lives.
