Live Figure Drawing for Procreate & Digital Artists

Join us for our in- person Procreate Digital Figure Drawing session on Tuesday, March 25th from 6 to 9pm at Hipbone Art Studio!

This will be a nude figure drawing session.
Whether you are a beginning digital artist, a power Procreate user or are somewhere in between, you are welcome here!
Any make or brand of digital device or software is welcome, not just Procreate.

Rates:
This is a paid event ($18 Cash, Venmo, Credit or Debit Card)
Payable same day, in person, at the studio. Fee covers model, venue and event fees. We also encourage everyone to tip our model ( it may look easy but it’s very hard work!).

About Us
We are a new in-person, Meetup group that will be getting together one Tuesday a month to connect and share knowledge about Procreate and digital art, best of all, during each session, we will be drawing from a live model, all in a supportive, inclusive and fun environment. Models for our sessions will be nude as well as costumed.
How it Works:
Doors open at 5:45pm with some time allowed to get settled in and meet everyone. At this pre-start time, we also hope to be doing demos on different subjects on a large screen as well as sharing best practices, tips and tricks so everyone can get the most out of the session.
Timed poses with the model on stage begin at 6:30pm starting with short, 3 minute poses and working our way up to 15 minute poses. Our first break is at 7:30 when you can walk around, mingle and compare notes on your drawing. We collect the fee during the first break.
The evening continues with three longer 30 minute poses with breaks in between until 9pm.
(You dont have to stay till 9pm, it is a school night after all!)

What to Bring
Unlike other sessions at Hipbone, this one is specifically formatted for Procreate and digital drawing. You will need have your own iPad or other device, digital pencil and the drawing app downloaded on your device.
We are also happy to provide some instruction and feedback on drawing if requested and if we can.
Decorum: Even though we are using digital devices, out of common courtesy and respect, photographing our models is not permitted. Sometimes a costumed model will allow photos, but this depends on the individual and will be announced if allowed. You can photograph your work and the studio surroundings of course, just not the model.

This is a paid event with a fee of $18 to cover model and venue expenses. Fee is collected after the first break. We also encourage everyone to tip our model!
PARKING IS FREE in our large lot!
Our Meetups will have a different model every time in a variety of nude and sometimes costumed poses, sometimes we will occasionally have a themed session, with different costumes, maybe a classic movie theme, or inspired by a famous artist. Also we always have some classic old and new vinyl spinning on our turntable to make the evening more interesting. We also have plenty of water and tea available for everyone and you are welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages.
