Join us monthly, in-person at Muir Hall in Taborspace on the 3rd Mondays, 6:30pm - 8:30pm.

The experience of grieving and the experience of working with psychedelics share some interesting terrain. Both have the capacity to change us forever and to offer new and creative perspectives on life and death. Both can enable us to grow more intimate with our emotions and our shadows expanding our capacity for empathy and compassion. Both can open us up to giving and receiving love in new and meaningful ways. Both can help us find clarity so we can serve and live our deepest truth. Both require emotional excavation and reconstruction that serve our individual and collective growth, healing, and change. Both find themselves at the outskirts of conversation and culture.

This meetup invites us to grow wildly curious with what we find in the depths of our grieving and our psychedelic experiences so we may bring wisdom and insight back to our "village" or community. This meetup is a place to explore how working with psychedelics can help us navigate our relationship with loss. This meetup is a place to witness and be witnessed in the grief that you carry individually, and that we carry within our community. This meetup is a place to honor that which has been lost as we learn how to love and live more vibrantly and fully expressed.

About your host - Alyssa Rose
Alyssa Rose is an end-of-life doula, grief guide, and licensed massage therapist who supports transitioning and grieving clients, families, and loved ones through one-to-one care and community ritual. Alyssa has spent many years working and volunteering at local hospices and End of Life Choices Oregon while maintaining a private practice of somatic grief work, grief ritual (remote and in-person), plant medicine integration work, and energy healing, to facilitate soulful and holistic care of the body, mind, and spirit.

I am grateful to the teachers who have inspired and informed this grief ritual work and will be weaving in the teachings and ideas of Sobonfu Some, Francis Weller, Martin Prechtel, Stephen Jenkinson, and more.
