What we’re about

Welcome to the grass roots, people-powered, community calendar of events for the Tantra Community in Portland!

There are several important differences between this and most other Meetups. The most important difference is that COMMUNITY MEMBERS CAN CREATE AND ANNOUNCE MEETUP EVENTS - Due to current MeetUp guidelines, you must become an "Event Organizer" to post events.

EVERY SINGLE EVENT ORGANIZER can post ANY EVENT on the Community Calendar - And can announce it to the entire community once your event is posted.

How to create a Meetup event in the Portland Tantra Community Calendar:

1. Join the Community.
2. Send a message to the organizer, requesting to be added as an "Event Organizer."
3. Event Organizers may add Meetups by clicking the red "Create Event" tab on the main page.
4. Meetups added by Event Organizers are turned into official Meetups immediately.
5. Meetups with a date selected will appear on the Calendar
6. Meetups without a date selected will appear only on the 'Upcoming' Meetups list on the Meetup Group's home page .
7. Event Organizers who add a Meetup may choose to announce it to the group's members.

These are powerful community building tools. Please use them responsibly.

**It is very important that we all work together to create a safe and respectful group where community members can have fun and build trust in one another through creating a culture that uses compassionate communication and asks for consent. Please be mindful that the Portland Tantra Community Organizer and Event Organizers do not screen every event posted on the Portland Tantra Community Calendar. The Event Organizer of the particular event that you are attending is solely responsible for what occurs during their event(s). Please always use your own discernment. If you attended an event where you felt unsafe, please report it to the Organizer immediately.**

This is our community. Let's nurture and care for it.

In order to keep our community as safe as possible and in taking good care of each other:
**If it is reported that a community member violates clearly communicated boundaries or consent, they will be either asked to sit in mediation or will be immediately banned from the group, depending upon the severity of the violation.**

  • Liberation: Childhood Experience

    Liberation: Childhood Experience

Scholls Valley Lodge, 12840 SW River Road, Hillsboro, OR, US

You've done the work. Why are you still triggered?
It is time to release the past so you can be liberated in the present!

This is the work we all return to once we reach that last crusty layer of patterns that do not seem to resolve no matter how much effort we have put into our self work.
You have the opportunity to grow up again on your terms.

    More info:

If you've done YEARS of personal growth work but still find yourself:

    • Getting triggered over the same BS issues, over-reacting or shutting down when your partner shares an upset
    • Stuck in anxious-avoidant patterns—obsessively checking texts or pulling away when someone gets close
    • Tolerating unacceptable behavior and not sticking up for yourself
    • Sabotaging good relationships or clinging to toxic ones
    • People-pleasing to feel safe (saying "I'm sorry" for everything, over-explaining every boundary)
    • Shrinking when you want to shine (hiding your success, not taking risks, staying quiet in meetings, dimming your light around certain people)

    This is for you.

Liberation goes beyond traditional inner child work. It creates integration and wholeness that lasts!

"This workshop dramatically changed the way I relate; I'm more secure, more confident, and less anxious. This work reprograms your nervous system, so changes happened without me having to make conscious decisions. I immediately felt more free, less triggered, and am more able to choose how I want to respond." - Levitie

We have got to do this work if we do not want to repeat the patterns of our childhood. We have to do this work to be able to parent to the uniqueness of our children. Inner child work isn’t optional. It’s the missing piece under all your strategies, healing, and self-awareness.

There is something extremely powerful about doing this in a trauma informed container with other people. We collaborate together to create new reference points, new understanding of who we are.

This is different from any other inner child work. We take our inner child into the work and allow that part of ourselves to participate with our adult self.

This is not about “healing your inner child.” This is about partnering with them. Letting them dance. Letting them scream. Letting them lead you home.

    What is the benefit?
What Happens When You Do This Work
✨ You stop reacting from old wounds, and start responding from your center.
Your nervous system settles, you can finally breathe before you speak, and choose before you spiral.
✨ Your relationships shift, because you do.
You’re not stuck in the same fight anymore. You hear people differently, you let yourself be seen, and you connect more deeply because of it.
✨ You begin to feel at home in your own skin.
That quiet confidence? It’s not performative, it’s embodied. You know who you are, and you like that person.
✨ Being an adult starts to feel good.
There’s more joy, more lightness. You actually laugh more. You play again. Life doesn’t feel so heavy.
✨ Anxiety no longer runs the show.
Because you’ve learned to listen to your body, you know how to support yourself, and stress becomes a signal, not a sentence.

You don’t need to become someone new.
You need to return to the one you were, before the world taught you to hide.

“I had done work with my inner child before, but this workshop had the most transformational impact of anything I'd done. This was nervous system rewiring. Brain reprogramming. Deep somatic work combining science-backed modalities with sacred ritual and play.” - Usha Rose

Come join us in Portland Oregon area in late March!
