Halloween Run: Wildwood Trail from Newton Rd to Springville +Coffee
Details
🎃👻 PTR Annual Halloween Trail Run Details 👻🎃
On the misty morning of Saturday, October 25th, brave souls shall gather at the Newton Road trailhead to embark on a haunting journey into the waking forest. Together we shall follow the twisting Wildwood Trail, where the fog clings low and shadows still linger from the night.
We’ll turn back at Springville Road, for a total of 6 eerie miles… just enough to stir the spirits, but not enough to summon them.
The Route
🔮 View the path (if you dare) on Ride with GPS or AllTrails.
Want a shorter route? Turn back at the Waterline Trail for an out-and-back of about 3 miles — just enough to feel the forest’s chill without wandering too deep into its shadows…
Where to meet
🦇 Newton Road parking lot — about .4 miles down Newton Rd. from Skyline.
🕰️ We take off at 8:35am sharp, so don’t get caught wandering in the dark woods…
What to wear
🕷️ Costumes strongly encouraged! (Bonus points if you scare off an owl 👀)
What to bring
☕ A coffee cup/travel mug for post-run brews.
🧛♂️ Your best spooky energy.
Afterwards
I’ll have a cauldron (well… thermos) of post-run coffee ready. If you’d like to bring a snack to share, awesome! Or toss a couple bucks to the coffee fund on Venmo (@JeffMonaghanPDX) — but truly, no pressure. Just showing up is all that’s expected.
So grab your running shoes, summon your courage, and join us for a spooky, laughter-filled dash through the woods.
See you on the trail… if you dare. 🦉
