Join us for a Native Planting Volunteer Opportunity to help restore forest habitat with the Forest Park Conservancy! We will be planting native species to support the revegetation and biodiversity of the forest floor, creating healthy habitat for the many wildlife species that call Forest Park home. We will learn about the plants we’re working with and the best practices for successful planting—no experience necessary!

  • When: Saturday, February 21st, 9am to 12pm.
  • Where: Leif Erikson @ Thurman. Parking is limited. Carpooling is encouraged!
  • What: Planting native species in the forest. We will be working on the trails, which requires hiking (up to 3 miles) on uneven terrain and physical labor in the forest (up to 2.5 hours). Tools, gloves, training and COFFEE will be provided!
  • Bring: Long pants, long socks, sturdy close-toe shoes/boots. Water bottle, appropriate layers, hats, etc.
  • Rain or Shine! More info HERE

Note: Your email will be required for registration, check your meetup messages to provide Julie/Jeff your email info and we will get you signed up! This is a great opportunity to give back to the trails we use throughout the year.
