We will walk from the parking lot by WA 14 on the Mountain View Trail to the Refuge Trail, then to the Wildlife Art Trail, finally on the that trail to the Red-tail Bridge. Total distance will be about 3 miles with a duration of 2 hours. Our primary purpose will be observing and identifying birds so our pace will depend upon the bird activity that we can see from the trail. If there is interest, we may continue on the Wildlife Art Trail for an additional mile (0.5 miles further on the trail). All trails are gravel and flat.
This is an excellent walk for beginning birders. Bring binoculars, if you have them. We will also practice birding by ear.
