PNW Women Writers

Real-time feedback from a real-life audience provides a super boost of clarity to understand how your writing hits readers.

Read your current work-in-progress to peer writers and receive friendly, supportive critique.

Limited to 4 writers! (plus the host) RSVP in advance to save your spot.

This is a guided reading and feedback session. Every writer gets approximately 20 minutes. May be used as 10 minutes of reading, followed by 10 minutes of peer feedback. (If you want to read longer, you can! You simply will have less time for feedback.)

Feedback period is guided to ensure comments are kind and relevant. This session is not intended to provide a hard critique, but rather to help you see your work from new perspectives, or address a specific question you may have about your piece.

Writers of all genres and backgrounds are welcome. Simply be willing to listen deeply and share thoughtful insights when others share their work.

As Anias Nin wrote, "It is the function of art to renew our perception. What we are familiar with we cease to see. The writer shakes up the familiar scene, and as if by magic, we see a new meaning in it."

Please note: If your zoom name does not match the name with which you RSVP'd on meetup, you might not be admitted into the zoom.

Come join us Fridays and be a part of our group of awesome women writers. We're pretty informal, gathering to motivate each other to write, talk about writing, or support each others' writing endeavors. Our format is to chat as people arrive, set an intention of productivity, and write/edit for an hour. Afterward we'll have another chat about how it went and help work through any writing issues a member might be having. Then repeat as desired!

Being a writer doesn't need to be so solitary. This is not a workshop or critique group, just a place to write together in a positive, supportive environment... with coffee and cookies!

Please bring something to work on, whether it's a pad and pencil, laptop, or tablet. Lots of people also use this time to read or research for their projects. Poets, memoirists, bloggers, fiction, screenwriters and songwriters come frequently, so don't be shy!

Show up and leave whenever you need to. The facilitator is there until 5, but doesn't expect anyone else to be ;)
