Welcome to the Portland Young Nordic Professionals Meetup Group! This group is for college students embarking on their career and young professionals interested in networking, brainstorming, and socializing with other local professionals who share a passion for Nordic cultures.
Whether you want to practice your language skills, learn more about Nordic culture, share job referrals and learning opportunities, or connect with other young adults in the Portland area who have ties to Sweden, Finland, Iceland, or Denmark, this is the group for you!
You do not need to be Nordic by heritage; interest in Nordic culture or language is all you need!

Comedy Night at HOKU: Daniel Simonsen
Hoku Events on Madison, 1125 SE Madison St, Portland, OR, USInternational comedian Daniel Simonsen (Late Night with Stephen Colbert, Stavvys World, Comedy Central) comes to HOKU on May 15th.
DANIEL SIMONSEN is a Norwegian/Chilean stand-up and writer who has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He was named New York's Funniest at the 2022 New York Comedy Festival and won the UK's So You Think You're Funny competition. Daniel is a Comedy Cellar regular and tours internationally.
HOKU brings touring headliner comedians to their beautiful 100-seat cabaret venue--an intimate room where stand-up comedy works best, with tables close to the stage, great sound, and excellent food and drinks.Itinerary
