Community Blitz Part II and East Bayside Block Party!

Details

One final blitz this season! The Resilience Hub and Zero Station have served as important indoor learning and gathering spaces for the permaculture community for several years now - and we're hoping to build out the area outside to connect it to Bayside Trail, host outdoor performances/movies, etc., and demonstrate some techniques for urban growing taking advantage of a microclimate along a huge south-facing brick wall!

Meet at the Resilience Hub to follow up on the EPIC bittersweet clearing efforts done at September's community blitz part 1. We'll be focused on heavy suppression of the cleared bittersweet during this blitz in order to convene the design process this winter and begin building phases of the design next spring.

Best of all, this community blitz dovetails with the East Bayside Neighborhood Organization block party that runs from 12-4 throughout East Bayside!

Schedule:

9:00am Coffee, tea

9:30am Opening Circle and Introductions

10:00am Work!

12:00pm Potluck Lunch and join the block party!

What to Bring:

notebook/camera, work gloves, boots, clothes that can get a bit dirty (and dress in layers for varying temperatures through the course of the day), potluck dish to share and “kit” (dish/bowl/utensils/napkins), water bottle, sunscreen, etc.
