End of the Year Gathering for 2014

This will be our Final gathering for 2014.

Our Topic for this gathering will be twofold - the first hour will be Topic specific (see below) and the second hour will be a wonderful end-of-the-year Social Hour.

Topic: What Kind of Jobs and Careers are most likely to attract Intuitive-Feeling based people or "NF's" as we like to say? What kinds of work environments allow NF's to thrive?

For this meeting we’re going to explore the world of work… from an entirely NF perspective. As we’ve said many times before, the primary driver that the other 3 temperament groups (SJ, SP, and NT) have in common is… practicality. The desire and need to think, say and do things that are: not theoretical, speculative or even ideal, but instead to focus on things that can quickly be put to use through direct action. Other words that define practicality would be: businesslike, expedient, realistic, sensible, usable, workable and utilitarian. For most NF's, while we certainly understand and incorporate these words and concepts into our lives, for the most part we would be hard-pressed to say that any of them are the primary drivers in how we live and what we do. Instead, for us, the primary driver is more often than not the subjective, elusive and always difficult to explain…"Search For Meaning". As a result, when it comes to jobs and careers, many NF's – but not all – are often challenged to find their right-livelihood that provides both personal satisfaction AND financial reward. This meetup will explore how we can incorporate the NF search for meaning into the practical demands of the larger world.
