Freedom is slavery

Details

Dear Fellow Book Lovers,
In Portugal, April is traditionally associated with the theme of Liberty, marking the anniversary of the Carnation Revolution on April 25, 1974—a pivotal moment that ushered in full democracy.

While it's always enriching to explore liberty as a central theme—and you're more than welcome to do just that—we thought it might be refreshing to introduce a slight twist. Given that the air will already be thick with reflections on freedom, both in the media and beyond, feel free to take a more unconventional path. I know I will.

So, whether you choose a book that sparks meaningful discussion, offers an unexpected angle, or simply places liberty in an intriguing historical or fictional setting, we look forward to seeing what you'll bring to our next Book Club gathering.

Until then,
Bruno & Ron
