📢 Ministry of Testing Porto 3.0🎄
Details
📅 Date: December 11th, 2025 (Thursday) 📍
Location: Fabamaq - Rua do Campo Alegre nº389, 4150-178 Porto
Join us for our final Ministry of Testing Porto Meetup of the year, hosted by Fabamaq! We're back with cutting-edge insights and a chance to network and celebrate the festive season with your fellow QA professionals.
➡️ Talk 1: Test Automation for Non-Deterministic Systems (ENG)
Arnaldo Abrantes will share how Fabamaq tackled a problem generally considered impossible: automating tests for systems with non-deterministic behavior, such as casino games. This talk will introduce a practical and robust automated testing framework. The framework uses state machines for macro-level modeling of the System Under Test (SUT). By adopting a reactive approach to SUT state changes, the tests become robust and reliable, allowing test cases to be validated multiple times per suite execution for finer-grained confidence in software quality.
Speaker: Arnaldo Abrantes
➡️ Talk 2: Behind the tapOn: What I Learned Automating Mobile Apps with Maestro (PT)
Tailiny will speak about the reality of mobile automation: it doesn’t have to be complicated, but it does require the right strategic choices. She will share her hands-on journey automating mobile apps with Maestro, moving from the very first tapOn to navigating complex flows. Through a breakdown of lessons learned and best practices, Pereira will demonstrate how to make tests simpler, more readable, and more effective—ultimately demystifying the process to help you achieve consistent results.
