Last Day of Summer Session

Another super Sunday session where we will not only play but also ask some serious questions about the works of major composers. Like why are Tchaikovsky’s quartets so long, why does Schubert's Eb minor String Trio need so many accidentals. Why do we need to play repeats when we’ve already played a section once For answers to all these questions and more join us this week to find out.

Other news: Following a ridiculous price hike in fees for using Meetup we will be leaving this platform in September. I’m cheerfully informed by the marketing team that this increase is to fund a major expansion so that large corporate bodies can use it to manage multiple large events!

Portobello Chamber Music Group will continue to exist as usual. Our Library’s Website will be expanded to provide the same facilities as Meetup - minus the constant requests to send money or suggestions that you join a local prenatal Zumba class for over 60’s.
