Beauty Photography from Start to Finish - Workshop

About this Event

This full day photography workshop will be centered around beauty photography. We will explore the process of creating beauty photography from start to finish. This is a hands on workshop. You will be working with two agency models and a professional industry makeup artist.

This workshop is designed for photographers off all levels. If you’re looking to get into studio lighting and photography than this is the workshop for you.

What you will learn

• How to work directly with a model and makeup artist
• How to set up one, two, and three-light beauty lighting
• How to use off-camera flash via a trigger and receiver
• How to use a light meter
• Tips on beauty posing
• Basic retouching & post-processing
• Tips and Tricks on how to build your portfolio
• Tips on how to find models to work with

Itinerary
Beauty Shoot 9am-1pm
09:00am - 10:00am: Meet & Greet
10:00am - 11:00am: Model makeup - *Photographers will continue on with the itinerary
10:00am - 10:15am: Explain lighting equipment and choose light modifiers
10:15am - 10:30am: Explain off-camera flash, setup triggers, and lights
10:30am - 10:45am: Setting up backdrop
10:45am - 11:00am: Metering light
11:00am - 01:00pm: Hands on shooting and posing tips
01:00pm - 02:00pm: Break for lunch

Post Production 2pm - 5pm
02:00pm - 03:00pm: Post with Capture One/Adobe Lightroom
03:00pm -04:00pm: Photoshop retouching techniques
04:00pm - 05:00pm: Photo critique, tips and tricks and open questions

Please note that all participants are required to bring their own Camera (The camera must have a hot shoe), lenses (a 50mm, 85mm or 100mm prime recommended), Memory Cards, camera charger, laptop, and drawing tablet (or mouse).
