## About this event

Friedrichshain is more than bars, clubs and street art.
Behind its busy streets is a story about Berlin's transformation: from industrial roots and alternative spaces to world-famous nightlife, rising rents and rapid urban change.
On this relaxed walking experience, we'll explore some of the places and stories that reveal how Friedrichshain became what it is today.

We'll talk about:

This isn't a lecture and it isn't a race through Berlin's landmarks.
It's a small-group walk, conversation and exploration.
And yes — you can absolutely come alone.

## 🗺️ What we'll do

1. Meet & get to know each other
We'll start with a relaxed introduction so everyone knows who they're exploring with.
2. Walk through Friedrichshain
We'll visit several interesting locations and uncover the stories behind them.
3. Explore Berlin's club & alternative culture
We'll look at how nightlife and alternative spaces became such an important part of Berlin's identity.
4. Talk about a neighborhood in transition
Friedrichshain has changed dramatically. We'll look at what has changed, why it happened and what the neighborhood looks like today.
5. Finish together
We'll wrap up somewhere nearby. If people feel like continuing, grabbing a drink or getting food together, we can decide spontaneously.

We'll meet at Ostkreuz, exit Markgrafendamm.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start
Important: We'll be walking for around 2 hours, so comfortable shoes are recommended.
