Meditate with Friends: Join Our Introduction to Meditation Group!

Details
Are you interested in learning about mindfulness meditation and also meeting other people with a similar interest? Our Meditate with Friends meetup is exploring mindfulness together to address the loneliness and anxiety many of us have felt since the pandemic. Over the course of three sessions, we'll guide you through the fundamentals of meditation and help you establish a personal practice with a peer practice partner. Each session will include a 15-minute explanation of meditation techniques, followed by a 15-minute guided meditation, and concluding with a 20-minute group discussion to share experiences and insights.
This free, no obligation workshop is perfect for beginners and those looking to deepen their existing practice.
Sessions will be led by Dr. Nalaka Gooneratne, a physician and Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, who has been practicing Mindfulness of Breathing meditation for over ten years. He has written several meditation instruction guides, and attended retreats at Insight Meditation Center and other meditation communities. The sessions will be held at times that are most convenient for the attendees; we understand that schedules can be hectic. Coordination will be through SMS text messaging.
Please register using this Google Form link after which we will send you the Zoom link the day before the event (this helps us track attendance accurately): https://forms.gle/mJYfjp2vcpDvEaKc6
Don't miss this opportunity to learn, grow, and find your inner calm in a supportive group setting.
