(Jan) Getty Center . Montessori Museum Scavenger Hunt and Art Lesson

Changes to event due to weather.

Change 1: For this event we will be doing NOT be doing water-colors in the garden.

Change 2: EVENT IS FULL. WE HAVE REACHED OUR LIMIT.

• Our events most always fill. Always best to RSVP early.
• IF you have filled out the google form you will get an email with ticket or entry info.
• IF you did NOT fill out the google from you will NOT be getting an email with the entry info.
• You may still fill out the form now for Getty Villa (Feb) or our March Museum Event at Norton Simon Museum.

No Change 1: We will START 10AM with meet in the Fran and Ray Stark Terrace and talk art.

No Change 2: 10:30 AM meet in the Lower Terrace Sculpture Garden

Change 3: At around 10:30 will do a fun art discussion on the Lost Language of Hands AND the instructions for the Kinetic Art Activity of the Montessori Scavenger Hunt

No Change 4: After the discussion we will break into groups and visit to the museum for the Kinetic Art Activity of the Montessori Scavenger Hunt

Why the changes? While it is not expected to be raining in the AM . . . the ground will be wet from rain the night before. Water-coloring is out. BUT the Montessori Scavenger Hunt happens indoors . . .in smaller breakout groups. Also . . you are not made of sugar and you will not melt if you get a drop of water on you.

The event will START at sharp at 10.
10AM. Our 10AM start point will be the Fran and Ray Stark Terrace. CLICK HERE FOR A MAP To be there by 10 you will NEED to be PARKED by 9:20AM.

9:30 to 10:00 Meander and Stroll
10AM Meet at the Fran and Ray Stark Sculpture Garden
10 to 10:30 Mini-tour.
10:30 2nd Meet for later arrivals at Lower Terrace Sculpture Garden
10:30 to 11:30 or 12 Small Art Lesson
12:00 onwards . . . explore the museum with new friends.

Lunch can be at the Getty in the café with new friends . . . But the rain is coming in for the afternoon.

And yes, . . .the museum is fully aware we are coming and doing this. So it's not like we will get in trouble. There are other museum events on meetup. They are often not permitted or run "under the radar" and do not contact the museum. For us . . . the museum is fully aware and welcome us to attend and our event.
