Hi Everyone,

First of all, I wanted to wish you all a belated Happy New Year. I hope you enjoyed the holidays and that the return to work has not been too hard.

The PABC turned 10 last year which is awesome so THANK YOU for helping to make that happen. It’s been an absolute pleasure running this group and I am looking forward to the next 10 years of doom and drinks. For various life reasons, we didn’t celebrate this milestone but watch this space.

One of the things I have insisted on for this group is that it is as accessible as possible and that the meetups are free of charge for anyone who wants to attend. A number of you have asked if there is any way to help with the costs of running the group and I have always declined this, however, operating costs have been increasing and instead of charging members I thought this might be an easier way letting those who want to help be able to contribute.

I have set a up a page on Ko-fi and feel free to buy a coffee to help with the running of the group. This is totally optional and not a requirement to be a member or attend a meetup.

Have a wonderful 2020 and looking forward to seeing you all at our next meetup, Sunfall by Jim Al-Khalili on the 29th Jan.

(Please also send me all your post-apocalyptic and dystopian book suggestions! They are always welcome.)

Best Wishes,

Leila
