We're database nerds - we love to collect data. But sometimes, we have missing data. Fortunately, database designers a long time ago came up with a way to recognize the absence of data: the NULL.

However, NULLs may not behave exactly the way you think they might.

Bruce Momjian, a member of the PostgreSQL Core Team, long time NYCPUG speaker, and Senior Database Architect at EnterpriseDB, is coming up from the Philly area to talk to us about nothing - well really, to answer the question do "NULLs Make Things Easier?"
