Reston Potluck Social: Bring a Dish, Make a Friend

Join us for our first potluck! This inaugural gathering is your chance to meet new people, share tasty dishes, and enjoy a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Bring your favorite dish to share, and get ready to connect with fellow Meetup members who are eager to make new friendships. I'll provide a comfortable, spacious setting in the common area of my apartment building. The sections below provide more event information, including information about parking, building access, and food items. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Parking instructions:

My apartment building, The Edmund, is located directly above Wegmans, but the entrance to the apartment building is on street level. You can park on the street or in any of the various surface lots in the area. (There are a bunch, some of which are interconnected.) You can even park in the Wegmans garage, but then you'll need to walk around to the lobby to The Edmund. If you park in the Wegmans garage, do not park in the future resident parking spaces, or you will be towed.

Where we'll meet:

We'll meet in the lobby of The Edmund starting at around 6:55 pm, where we'll wait for people until around 7:10 p.m., after which we'll go up to the spacious amenities area on the fourth floor. The elevators are access controlled, so I'll bring everyone up to the fourth floor, and I'll leave word with the concierge in the lobby to let any late comers up. If there's no concierge, I'll check the Meetup comments around every 10 minutes until 7:40 pm or so, so I can come down and get stragglers.

Food items:

Please list in the comments what food item you'll bring. I'm still deciding between a plain salad and a chicken salad. Proteins and salads from our guests are very much appreciated, so we don't wind up with 1 salad and 10 desserts. ;-)
