Hey y'all,
long time no see! We would like to invite you to our lovely office again in the center of the so called "Bermuda Dreieck" in Bochum. This time we're teaming up with the CSS Café Meetup for a watch party with some cold beverages and mingling afterward.
Heydon Pickering will give his talk:
Why doesn't CSS have Scope
People talk a lot about how CSS "isn't scoped" and that this is a problem somehow. But what do they mean? Isn't apportioning scope to style what CSS is for? This session will ask whether "global" CSS is such a bad thing, if stylesheets themselves are really a good thing, if we really need to rely on a framework developed at a genocide fomenting social media company to add scope to CSS, and what we can learn about CSS from the critical reception of Swedish death metal band Entombed's 1996 album, "To Ride, Shoot Straight, and Speak The Truth".
If the weather gods are on our side, we will enjoy the last bits of sun this evening with food and cold drinks on our rooftop terrace.
If you have any specific food requirements, please let us know in advance, so we're able to take care of it.
Important side note: The Deutsche Bahn announces construction works on the train tracks in Bochum (from June 30th til July 26th) and some trains will be redirected to different train stations with rail replacement services.
